Hello,

Yes, its possible to download mail in outlook express from your yahoo mail server, and I use that rather then login into my yahoo account. Its very easy. Actually one software designed for it named ypops.

Just downlaod that and keep it running. Create the outlook express account for it in your outlook express.

Hello,

Some awsome tweaks here for firefix. Just try it and enjoy..

If upgrading from a previous version please to do the following or the extension will now work:
1) Type 'about:config' in the location bar and hit enter
2) Paste this in the blank bar or scroll down to find 'extensions.toolbarcleanup.findbarchanges'
3) Right click on this and select 'reset' and restart firefox and extension will work again
Sorry about that, I deleted the file it calls on and I forgot when you upgrade it doesnt remove old entries from

about:config.

Upgrade mail template of yahoo

Hello,

STEP 1: Login to your Yahoo Mail. In the address line, you will see the name of the Yahoo Server which you are accessing.

For example, the server name is f380 in case of US(i.e a@yahoo.com) and it is f379 in case of Yahoo india( i.e a@yahoo.co.in)

the f 379 or 380 can be seen in the tool bar once u have logged in with ur username and password (Kindly have a close look at the tool bar whether it is f379, 380 or some number)

STEP 2: Now enter the following URL in the same window in which you have opened Yahoo Mail

http://us.fXXX.mail.yahoo.com/dc/landing

Here, replace fXXX by your own Yahoo Mail Server. In the example above, the URL will be http://us.f380.mail.yahoo.com/dc/landing.

STEP 3: A page will open, just click on "Try It Now" button to upgrade your Yahoo Mail!

That's it! You are done. If at any time, you need to come back to old version of Yahoo Mail, you can do so by clicking on "Switch Back" link at the top near "Logout" link, or through Yahoo Mail Options.

How to Improve internet speed. Only with windows XP

Hello,

If you are not getting too much internet speed then try this.

1. Click Start then Run and type "gpedit.msc" without quotes.
This opens the group policy editor. Then go to:
--> Local Computer Policy ==> Computer Configuration ==> Administrative Templates ==> Network ==> QOS Packet Scheduler and then to Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

Double click on Limit Reservable bandwidth. It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab i.e."By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default."
So the trick is to ENABLE reservable bandwidth, then set it to ZERO. This will allow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 20%.It works on Win 2000 as well.

Suppose you want to lock the folder games in d: which has the path D:\important In the same drive create a text file and type
ren important important.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}
Now save this text file as loc.bat

create another text file and type in it
ren important.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} important
Now save this text file as key.bat

Now you can see 2 batch files loc and key.Press loc and the folder games will change to control panel and you cannot view its contents.Press key and you will get back your original folder.

Login to all messenger from single google talk

Hello,

Are you signing in to multiple messenger (like gmail, yahoo, msn, aol, etc) to get in touch with every one.. NO NEED to do that now if you go through this post as I have done that and it really works.
Just follow this step in order to get that completed. You will see all of your contact from all messenger in a single login of your gmail. When you sign in to your one gmail account all the messenger you have will be online just signing in to your gmail account.

Note: It will work from your gmail account only. Because Google is the only company who have accepted this protocol.

Step 1: Download psi from http://psi-im.org

Step 2: Go to PSI (right side >> Service discovery >> jabber.3gnt.org

Step 3: Select click on the server (yahoo/AIM/MSN what ever you have ) >> register >>login you need to add to your gmail account) >> then login to your yahoo account from there. you will see all the contacts there,

Step 3: right click on your contact list name and authorize them to use Selected user in your list.

Or See the RED BLINKING ICON there on right side of your task bar >> CLick on it and authorise it.

Please try this, you will really find it amazing. I am already using it. It will solve yur problem to get login to every messenger each time and you will get all of your list from yahoo, AIM, msn in a single messenger. You will just need to authotrise all user once but when you complete it you will that how it have helped you.

Microsoft word "=rand(200,99)" wiered

This is something very interesting I have never thought of, Microsoft Word being so weird !!!

Well lets go for it.

1. Open MS - Word application.
2. Type the following

= rand(200,99)

3. Press enter.

Word includes a way to quickly insert sample text into a document. To do this, type the following
=rand()
and then press ENTER.

The inserted sample text is as follows:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
NOTE: This feature is disabled when the "Replace text as you type" option is turned off. (To turn this option off, click AutoCorrect on the Tools menu, click the AutoCorrect tab, and click to clear the "Replace text as you type" check box.)
MORE INFORMATION
By default, each paragraph contains five sentences. You can control how many paragraphs and sentences you want by adding numbers inside the parentheses. The =rand() function has the following syntax
=rand(p,s)
where p is the number of paragraphs and s is the number of sentences you want to appear in each paragraph.

Examples:

=rand(1) inserts one five-sentence paragraph of text.

=rand(1,1) inserts one one-sentence paragraph of text.

=rand(1,2) inserts one two-sentence paragraph of text.

Improve harddisk speed

If your horddisk is taking too much time to get the result, then to improve your hard disk speed you will need to configure a special buffer in the computer’s memory in order to enable it to better deal with interrupts made from the disk.
This tip is only recommended if you have 256MB RAM or higher.
Follow these steps:

1.
Run SYSEDIT.EXE from the Run command.
2.
Expand the system.ini file window.
3.
Scroll down almost to the end of the file till you find a line called [386enh].
4.
Press Enter to make one blank line, and in that line type

Note: This line IS CASE SENSITIVE!!!

Click on the File menu, then choose Save.

Update: The most speed improvement is visible with IDE drives, however there are reports that this tweak also does good for SCSI disks. In any case, it won’t harm your system, so why not try it yourself and let me know what you find.

Open a “host” file in notepad. At the bottom of the line, you can see as per below

Create con folder in Windows

Have you tried creating the con folder in windows. Try it. You wont be able to create the folder with name "con" from GUI.

Okie, if you want to create that folder from windows X system you wont be able to create that folder from GUI. You will have to follow this step tp create that.

1)goto command prompt

2) type in prompt c:\> "mkdir \\.\c:\con"

3)verify by typing "dir \\.\c:\con" or by "dir con*.*"

4)delete the file or folder "rmdir \\.\c:\con"

Reason Why:

DOS had a number of reserved names for devices. Some represented actual physical devices, such as PRN for the printer and CON for the console (represented by the keyboard or screen, depending upon I/O mode), and others logical devices, such as NUL. In the case above, we are not allowed to create any folder with reserved keyword, or name any file with reserved keyword as suffix or file name body (examples are aux.c, file.aux, NUL.txt). "trying to access a filesystem object called 'con'," you're basically trying to _open_ the console device. When used as an input, the CON device is the keyboard; as an output, it is the screen.

For Example:
the command "copy setup.log con" will cause the contents of setup.log to be displayed on the screen. CON in this case is the output device. Conversely,
"copy con testfile.txt This is a testfile." (hit Ctrl-Z to mark end of file, then enter)
1 file(s) copied.

results in a text file named "testfile.txt," containing, "This is a tesfile."

Copy data to CD

If you want to copy the data to CD then try this :

* Insert a blank, writable CD into the CD recorder.
* Open My Computer.
* Click the files or folders you want to copy to the CD. To select more than one file, hold down the Ctrl-key while you click the files you want. Then, under File and Folder Tasks, click Copy this file, Copy this folder, or Copy the selected items.
* If the files are located in My Pictures, under Picture Tasks, click Copy to CD or Copy all items to CD, and then skip to step 5.
* In the Copy Items dialog box, click the CD recording drive, and then click Copy.
* In My Computer, double–click the CD recording drive. Windows displays a temporary area where the files are held before they are copied to the CD. Verify that the files and folders that you intend to copy to the CD appear under Files Ready to be Written to the CD.
* Under CD Writing Tasks, click Write these files to CD. Windows displays the CD Writing Wizard. Follow the instructions in the wizard. Do not copy more files to the CD than it will hold. Standard CDs hold up to 650 megabytes (MB). High–capacity CDs hold up to 850 MB.
* Be sure that you have enough disk space on your hard disk to store the temporary files that are created during the CD writing process. For a standard CD, Windows reserves up to 700 MB of the available free space. For a high–capacity CD, Windows reserves up to 1 gigabyte (GB) of the available free space.
* After you copy files or folders to the CD, it is useful to view the CD to confirm that the files are copied.

To stop the CD recorder from automatically ejecting the CD:

* Open My Computer.
* Right–click the CD recording drive, and then click Properties.
* On the Recording tab, clear the Automatically eject the CD after writing check box.

Chat in windows OS from command prompt

Chat With Command Prompt

If you want a private chat with a friend or client on you Network, you don't need to download any fancy program!
All you need is your friends IP address and Command Prompt.

Firstly, open Notepad and enter:

net send %n% %m%
Pause
Goto A

Now save this as "Messenger.bat". Open the .bat file and in Command Prompt you should see:

MESSENGER

After "User" type the IP address of the computer you want to contact.
After this, you should see this:

Message:

Now type in the message you wish to send.
Before you press "Enter" it should look like this:

MESSENGER
User: 56.108.104.107
Message: Hi

Now all you need to do is press "Enter", and start chatting!
